Constructive cooperation
During the last 16 months, Frank van den Bosch has worked as Interim Manager at Krips. In this period, he has foreseen the company of important Management Information related to their book production. Furthermore, he has improvement and locked the quality of its plate making (200.000 sq.mtr a year) and printing matter (15.000 different productions a year), and realized a more predictable production and made important adjustments in logistics.

Krips has already been a well-known name in the graphics world in The Netherlands since 1936. Since then, Krips has been serving clients all over the world. Many international productions are also manufactured even today in Meppel.
The company executes orders from companies, publishers and institutions and has specialised the production of books and booklets.
Due to a very high level of efficiency, Krips can supply small as well as large orders. Almost all orders can be digitally supplied and processed with CTP (Computer to Plate). The production and production support are all done under one roof, due to which the high service and quality level is guaranteed.

First Philippinnes company ready for ISO-12647-2
After a successful first program at Transprint Corporation in Manila, Printmedia
Global Solutions carried out a second program in the same company.
This second project, duration of 4 months, was focussing on implementation
of the theory of the training into the practical daily operations of the
company. During this period, the existing working methods were monitored
and analysed. Working methods were adjusted when necessary and new methods
were implemented. The printing presses were tested and standardised. New
press profiles were set-up and prepress implemented these profiles to adjust
platemaking and proofing. The ISO 12647-2 standard for sheet fed offset
was introduced and implemented in prepress as well as in press.
After analysing the project it can be concluded that the set targets were
achieved.
Besides the above mentioned targets also significant improvements in waste
reduction (paper, down plates, chemicals etc.) could be achieved. This resulted
in important cost reductions.
Operators are know more confident and are able to work more independently
and efficiently. It also should be mentioned that Transprint Corporation
is the first company in the Philippines which carried out a large training
and consultancy project like this. This resulted in a company situation
which is comparable to European standards concerning quality and efficiency.
